Waddington All Saints Y1/2

In year 2 we have been working out fractions of different amounts. We used lots of equipment practically to work them out. 

This week the children have had a go at exploring different areas of maths. They have been counting to 100, counting in multiples of 2,5, and 10. Practising number bonds to 20 for addition and subtraction, solving number problems, weight, time, capacity and volume, finding a 1/4 and 1/2 of shapes and a 1/2 of numbers.

The children have been exploring how to make different mark using different media. They have then designed and made their final piece.

We all got to take part in a drama workshop with Helen from Backgarden Drama. We worked hard as part of a group and building our confidence. 

We now have a garden centre and farm shop open and ready for business! The children will be using Maths, Literacy and Science skills as well as developing social interaction and team building abilities.

Our plants have started to grow. We will keep looking at our plants everyday to see how they change and grow.
