Waddington All Saints Y1/2

Making the Lighthouse keepers lunch!

Today in Literacy we linked our learning with Science. In groups the children had to make Mr Grinling, the lighthouse keeper a cheese and cucumber sandwich. In groups the children worked together through the different stages of the sandwich making. They took it in turns to spread the butter, put on the cheese, cut the cucumber (with supervision from Mrs Szydlowski)

and then put the sandwich together. They then sampled the sandwich making sure it was tasty enough for him! Next the children will write an explanation text about how to make a sandwich. We loved our Literacy today!!!

MSP

Today the children had to practise their forward rolls remembering to start with a 1 or 2 point balance. They  had to move along the balance beam if different ways always remembering to land safely and count to 3. The wall bars were good fun! The children practised moving a long in different way and showing different positions. A wonderful PE session, I was so impressed with the children’s learning behaviours and listening skills today. Well done everyone!
