The children have been testing materials. They came up with different ideas about the kinds of tests they could carry out using what they had learnt about the properties of the different materials.
The children either decided to make boats to test which materials could float or they made a roof for the three pigs house and tested which materials were waterproof.

Today the children walked into the classroom to find that there had been a book explosion! All of the story characters had fallen out of their stories.

We have been learning how to draw our self portrait. We looked carefully at the proportions of our faces so that we draw our features in the correct place.
We completed photos of our faces by looking carefully at the shape and position of each feature.
We went on a hunt around school to find story characters. We used the props that we found as clues to discover which story we were basing our Literacy learning on.
Tomorrow is our Harvest festival. We will be walking to the church just after 9am tomorrow. If you would like to come along to the church and celebrate with us, we would be happy to see you there.
