Spellings –
We have now covered all of the Year 1 common words and so we are going to recap on those for the children to apply them in their writing. This weeks spellings are:
Who, what, when, why
These will be tested on Friday 2nd March.
Phonics
Next week we will be continuing to focus on knowing and applying phase 5 phonemes. We will also be working on comprehension skills, so the children are able to comprehend and discuss what they have read.
Maths
Next week we will be doing addition and subtraction within 40, using place value to support this. We will also be solving mathematical problems with addition.
