The spellings for this week are:

 Different, through, laughed, thought, everyone

The maths for this week is:

To know how to spell the numbers – two, eight, fourteen, eleven and one hundred

Year 1 Homework for 15.06.18

Next week there will not be any new spellings.

Next week is our Phonics Screening Week. Any phonics sound or word practice you can do would be great.
We have told the children that it is our time to shine and show everyone what we can do! The children are ready to try there best and also stay really positive about the Screening Test.

Year 2 Homework due in 15.6.18

Next week the spelling homework is linked to our work on adding the suffix -ly:

slowly, quietly, quickly, suddenly, happily

The maths homework is linked to our learning of times table. We will ask the children a multiplication question and they will need it answer it mentally, without drawing groups to support them. This is to support the new NC expectations that children will know all of their times tables, mentally, by the end of Year 4.

Questions will be from the 2, 3, 4, 5 or 10 times tables, e.g:

3 x 4 =

6 x 5 =

Kind Regards,

Year 2 Team
